Bandelier National Monument

~~~
Monday, hiking among the cliff dwellings
 We climbed lots of ladders
 up into the cliff dwellings
 amazing how they once lived
 James entering a kiva
 beautiful cactus blooms
 ancient hieroglyphs
 The big kids were such troopers
 Daddy, "Smell that tree, it smells live vanilla!"
 Gracie and Mommy climbed the BIG Ladders!
 so proud of that little monkey
 she has NO fear!
 Now it's Daddy's turn
 there he goes, up the first one
 Where's Daddy?
(See the tiny white dot in the middle of the picture- in the dark shadow of the cliff?)
That's him... way up top in the big Kiva
 snack time on the trail
 Jimmy captured this gorgeous butterfly
 troopers
 Monday afternoon, Jimmy raced through the Georgia O'Keefe Museum
 and then we had a wonderful authentic New Mexican meal
Blue Corn "Christmas" Enchiladas at The Shed
they were SO Spicy, but delicious
so many desert plants in bloom
Everyone talks about Sopapillas, so we went to Tomasita's to get some to enjoy on our patio
 ~~~
Tuesday morning we came across Who's Donuts
 Blue Corn Blueberry Lavender was THE BEST!

 yup, that's Heaven right there!

 Clearly we all enjoyed them
 and... the car adventures continue... on to Moab, UT
through Colorado... what a gorgeous drive it was!

 It amazed me how often and quickly the landscape changed

... to be continued...
