TORNADO!

Let Summer Begin:
Memorial Day at LBJ
 G and Emery Spent hours on the swing
 flyin' high
 While J begged to get out of the girly swing!
 but did love his banana!
 he pushed his Sissy

 and walked up and down the yard
all day long
 He loved having so much space outside.

 snack time
 Jamesy and TioTim
 got a Jetski ride in!
 some T-ball
 these two are good!
 negotiating who's first
 He opted for the swing
 and is pretty stinkin cute
 before he knew it he was flying high

 my boys
 just chillin'

 beautiful Sunset
 Then came MONDAY!
Friends from San Antonio calling our family
Confirmed TORNADO on the ground
Headed DIRECTLY TO US!
 The girls & kids packed like sardines in this TINY closet
Fortunately the house is made of concrete blocks!
(Great pic I know)
 Windows everywhere!
We shoved mattresses infront of the small bathroom window where the boys would be
(Dad had them wear hats and sunglasses just in case- he's always thinking)
 after 45 minutes of multiple tornadoes confirmed on the ground within a few miles of us...
we got the all clear!
~~~~~~
The boys rushed to raise the boats as debris floated past our dock
and ominous clouds moved away!
 Tons of trash filled the lake
(brings back memories on 2007)
 with the water flowing OUT
the boys got to moving the trash away from our property
Mimi promised G a Brownie
when we got out of the closet
(she was Terrified the entire time)
 Finally some giggles from these two
 Later that evening... when things settled down
 G and Daddy went on a Kayak ride
 and TonTon SUPed
 typical TonTon fashion
He "towed" a stranded boat back to their dock
(yes, he paddled it in on the SUP)
 He "helped" Mommy cook dinner
 We are grateful that the storm passed with no damage!
Luckily Daddy took Tuesday off
Otherwise we would have followed those storms to Houston
where we had MAJOR flooding and huge storms Monday Night and Tuesday morning
 With our weather apps telling us +5.5" of rain
and friends reporting they had +10
we didn't know what we would come home to!
But, we got about that- 5.5" rain
and no damage to our property
Now- off to build an ark... this rain never stops
